Monday
November 6, 2007 at 1:07 am | In Uncategorized | 1 CommentToday on the way to work I was thinking…about everything I had to get done, making my mental list, feeling my stress levels start to rise and thinking man I hate Mondays. Then I thought about what I said yesterday about enjoying the moments and I thought OK I’ll blog about what I’m thankful for today….that will be easy, by the time I’ll get to sit down and blog it will be the end of the day and I will be thankful that Monday is over! Wait! I think I missed the point of enjoying the moment…Oh, yeah the moments.
So in an attempt to make a conscience decision to enjoy the moments I thought all day, what am I enjoying about today and let me tell you I had to work at enjoying today. My once wonderful preschool class with all my little angels has well, how can I say this nicely, transformed into a completely different class…I’m trying to figure out who they are and what has happened…(seriously though, I love them dearly, I have just started seeing a lot of issues that were not so obvious in the beginning and well that creates a new challenge).
Mondays are not my favorite day anyway because they are so long and I get home late and well I could go on, but I won’t…I’ll get to the point which was what I was thankful about today.
Today I got to help in Knot’s ballet class. I loved it, but had a hard time not getting on Knot’s because she wanted to hang on me and be beside me all the time and didn’t want to treat me like an assistant, but like a mom…so you might be thinking what does that have to do with being thankful, well on the way home I realized that though I may have missed the moment, she had not. She enjoyed it all and I realized more than anything I’m thankful that my daughter loves to have her mom around! So that is my thankful thought for today, I guess maybe Monday’s aren’t so bad after all….OK well….
