Sunday Night Brain Dump

Two weeks – a lot has been going on and I have enjoyed the very relaxing, restful, exciting, and blissful break, but alas the time has come for all good things to end and tomorrow the alarm will go off at 4:30a.m. and I will be back in the swing of school things.  So here’s what’s been going on.

• I finally went to see the doctor about my foot.  It isplantars fascitiitis - just as I had suspected.  Now I have this crazy contraption to wear on my foot every night while I sleep, medicine to take and exercises to do.
• I got a sonicare toothbrush…woohoo.  I never knew brushing could be so fun!
• I started working with Children’s Ministry today.  I am a “floater”.  Today I was in the 4 and 5 year old room and I had a blast. 
• I think my kids (and myself) have been very lazy over the holidays and will now pay for it this week as we have a science fair project and a book contract project due by Thursday.  Oh well, at least we enjoyed the break.
• Just found out my TA will probably not return to school this year.  She was diagnosed with breast cancer at Thanksgiving and she hasn’t been able to come back.  She starts her kemo tomorrow and being around 4 year olds when your immune system is depleted is probably not a great idea.  So tomorrow I will be working with Dr. Adams on making a plan for the rest of the year.
• Got to figure out what to feed my kids for breakfast on a Daniel fast…thinking maybe the kids won’t be on a Daniel fast except for dinner time….especially since I am gone before they eat breakfast and they are pretty picky eaters.  It might cause some stressful mornings for dad, so…anyway, I’m really excited about this fast!
• Wait, did I just say I was excited about not eating!  HELLO!  What was I thinking?
• I guess what I meant was I was excited to see what God was gonna do as show me and our church for 2009 during this time of fasting!
